YES!  It IS that time again.  A team has formed to collect birthday messages for Sanada-san.  Akira has set up forms for the entry of these messages and Reiko and her sister will take these messages and compile them into another splendid book that will be delivered to Sanada-san!!!

To post your messages, you can follow these links to the forms:

This form is for IE and Opera users.

Below I am quoting Misty from her post on HSA about what happened last year and what the team is trying to achieve this year …

Remember last year??  The Birthday celebration messages were sent by 90 people from 20 different countries. We printed them out and made a booklet, with the kanji partitions (meaning “happiness”, “success”, “honor”, “prosperity” and “respect”) and sent it to Hiro with a flower arrangement on his birthday, Oct. 12.

Then, a few days later, we got an e-mail from his agent office forwarded us this BEAUTIFUL thank you note from HIRO!!

The Japanese writing on the left says “Arigato” - Thank you, and the on the right is his autograph in Kanji characters.

So this year, we are targeting at reaching to 100 messages!! Folks, PLEASE SEND IN YOUR MESSAGE!

It does not even have to be in English. The team has created the form to accommodate alphabets, Japanese and Chinese. (We know at least, Sanada-san can read these languages.)

This year, also, we have made the form so NO ONE in the production team actually read your message. It can be automatically gathered and made into a PDF file, to be delivered to the production company. So you don’t even have to worry about your privacy. Please go ahead and write your very personal message to Hiro!!

New SHIN VideoGallery Added

After toying with the idea of loading D-Zaka to YouTube, and then reviewing the movie segments that I’d created, I remembered that there is nudity and sexual content in the film.  I decided it might be inappropriate to upload this to YouTube, afterall and opted to create a video gallery for our SHIN site.  D-Zaka is currently available in our new video gallery.  I will upload other older, out of print, films there.  Download or view the new content here:

After experimenting with YouTube features, I’ve decided to add a new page to our SHIN website.  Notice up at the top of the page, the various pages - Mission, Navigation, Biography, etc.  Now you will see that a Videos link has been added.  Go there to view all of the videos that I will be adding to my YouTube gallery from now on.  I didn’t want to post a new player on each post that I make here in the blog area, because it just looks rather odd, displayed in this way.

I will come here to announce new videos that are uploaded and will direct site visitors to go to our new Videos page.  :-)

HAPPY VIEWING!!!!!!!!!!

YouTube Videos from SHIN - Finally!!!

I finally have fast wireless internet, so I am now able to view and upload videos to YouTube!!!  :-)  It’s been a loooong wait, but now I am working on uploading “Treasures” that I have received from our dear Ayamesan over the years.  This weekend I am concentrating on uploading various tv recordings of documentaries that were made about Sanada-san’s performances in Hamlet.  These videos are in Japanese, but they are enjoyable even if one does not speak the language.

The first video that I uploaded was a fairly bad quality video (it came to me in pretty bad shape), but I wanted to make sure my conversion software would work with YouTube.  It’s a small 6 minute video.  After that I have begun work on splitting a 1 hour 10 minute documentary video into 7 parts so that it can be uploaded.  This video has very nice quality and is one of my all-time favorite “treasures”.  I’ve been dying to get this out to the fans for years.

Once I’ve finished this, I will begin work splitting D-Zaka!  A rare film, indeed!!

Below is a video viewer that will allow you to view what’s been uploaded to my YouTube video gallery so far. You can also view the videos on the YouTube site by going there and searching “Hiroyuki Sanada”
